GARDAI in Limerick have launched an investigation after a man was assaulted in a fast food premises.
It took place in the early hours of Friday morning in the city centre business. Gardai and paramedics with the National Ambulance Service responded to the scene.

Following a media query, a garda spokesperson confirmed they have received a report of an incident of assault.
The spokesperson said it occurred at approximately 2.15am on Friday, October 3 at a commercial premises on O'Connell Street, Limerick City.
Limerick Live understands it took place in a fast food premises and involved a number of men.
“A man, aged in his 30s, was conveyed to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of non-life threatening injuries sustained during this incident.
“Investigations are ongoing,” said the garda spokesperson.
