Limerick photographer brings 15 years' of Munster Rugby to book

Popular local photographer Ivan O'Riordan will launch his new book this Thursday evening

MUNSTER Rugby superfan and popular local photographer Ivan O’Riordan has brought to book some of the finest pictures he has captured following the province in the last 15 years.

The Brave and the Faithful: Celebrating 15 years of Munster Rugby 2010 to 2025 will be launched at O’Mahony’s Bookshop in O’Connell Street this Thursday night at 6.30pm.

Priced at €24.99, the hardback book contains more than 150 pages of pictures capturing the best of Munster’s last decade and a half.

It begins with the team’s United Rugby Championship winning 2010-11 season, and chronicles Munster heroes in their prime like Keith Earls, Peter O’Mahony, Conor Murray and CJ Stander.

It also details the emergence of new talent like Craig Casey, Jack Crowley, Calvin Nash and more.

The foreword of the book is written by former Munster and Ireland captain Paul O’Connell.

A keen amateur photographer, Ivan has followed Munster around Ireland, as well as to France, Britain, and South Africa.

The sale of his photographs have fetched €17,000 for charities.

All are welcome to attend the launch.
