Hilda Jackson died following a two-vehicle collision in Templeglantine
A WOMAN who died following a two-vehicle collision in Templeglantine on Saturday, will be laid to rest on Thursday.
The woman, in her 70s, has been named as Hilda Jackson (nee Cahill).
The collision happened at Templeglantine West just before noon, at 11.50am, on Saturday last (October 18), near a junction on the main N21 road to Abbeyfeale.
It’s understood Mrs Jackson's car was crossing the N21 at the junction by the Devon Road Cross, which has been flagged by local councillors a number of times at council meetings, as being in need of traffic calming measures.

Following the collision, Mrs Jackson was taken to University Hospital Limerick, where she was pronounced dead.
A passenger in the other car, another woman also in her 70s was taken to University Hospital Kerry, with injuries, which were not believed to be life-threatening.
Described as being a really active member of the community in Tournafulla, where she lived in Skellig, Tournafulla, for more than 25 years, Mrs Jackson will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She moved to Tournafulla 26 years ago from Shannon, with her husband Michael, who passed away in August, 2014.
Mrs Jackson is survived by her daughter Linda (Linnane), son Declan and four grandchildren, as well as a wide circle of extended family, friends and neighbours.
Mrs Jackson will repose tomorrow (Wednesday, October 22) at Tournafulla Church from 5pm until 7pm.
Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday (October 23) at 11am, followed by cremation at Shannon crematorium on Friday (October 24) at 12 noon.
The family have requested family flowers only and donations in lieu of flowers to Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) in memory of Mrs Hilda Jackson.
Gardaí continue to appeal to anyone who was travelling in the area between 11am and noon on Saturday, or who might have dash-cam footage, to contact them.
