Vehicle torched in arson attack in Limerick housing estate

GARDAI have launched an investigation after a vehicle parked in a residential area was burnt out in a late night arson attack.

The incident occurred outside a house in St Mary’s Park in Limerick city on Sunday night.

One Limerick Fire and Rescue Service appliance responded to the scene with firefighters quickly putting out the blaze. 

When contacted for comment, a garda spokesperson confirmed gardaí received a report of an incident of criminal damage by fire that occurred in the St Mary’s Park area of Limerick city on Sunday, November 2 at approximately 10.30 pm.

“A vehicle was reported as damaged. No injuries have been reported at this time,” said a garda spokesperson.

Investigations are ongoing by gardai.
