THE LIMERICK Festival of Science is back, celebrating 30 years of inspiring curiosity and discovery, during Science Week

This year, Science Week, is taking place from Saturday, November 8 until Sunday, November 16.

Under the theme “Then. Today. Tomorrow.”, the festival invites the public to reflect on how science has shaped our past, informs our present, and inspires our future.

Led by the University of Limerick, in collaboration with Mary Immaculate College and the Technological University of the Shannon, the festival promises to spark imagination and engage minds across science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). With over 100 events planned, there’s something for everyone.

Dr Sarah Hayes, COO of SSPC at University of Limerick, said: “The Limerick Festival of Science is set to ignite curiosity and inspire innovation by creating dialogue around and celebrating the fantastic STEM across the Limerick region.

“Taking place across a variety of community venues in both city and county, the festival offers an engaging programme designed to bring science to life for all ages. Join us in celebrating three decades of discovery and be part of the conversation about where science can take us next,” said Sarah.

From architecture to ale, and biodiversity walks, this year’s festival offers a diverse programme designed to engage and inspire everyone.
