LIMERICK audiences are invited to join the RTÉ Concert Orchestra for a magical evening celebrating one of the most beloved performers of all time, Dame Julie Andrews.

Marking her 90th year, Julie Andrews: A 90th Birthday Celebration takes place at University Concert Hall, on Friday, November 28, and promises an unforgettable tribute to her extraordinary career.

Spanning over seven decades, Dame Julie Andrews’ legacy shines brightly across stage, screen, and music.

From her West End debut in 1948 to her star-making Broadway roles in The Boyfriend, My Fair Lady, and Camelot, Andrews became a global icon, renowned for her incredible vocal talent, acting, and magnetic stage presence.

Her film debut in Mary Poppins earned her an Academy Award for Best Actress, followed by a Golden Globe for her unforgettable performance in The Sound of Music.

With an Academy Award, a BAFTA, two Emmys, three Grammys, and six Golden Globes to her name, Andrews remains one of the most honoured and cherished performers in entertainment history.

For this special concert, the RTÉ Concert Orchestra will be joined by acclaimed vocalists Graham Bickley, Katie Birtill, and Kelly Mathieson, performing an evening of music that spans Andrews’ celebrated career, from beloved musical theatre classics to the timeless film favourites.

Presented in collaboration with GRB Concerts and the University Concert Hall, this joyous celebration captures the spirit, elegance, and musical magic that have made Julie Andrews a legend.
