A LIMERICK hotelier has been recognised among Ireland’s best at the Good Food Ireland Awards 2025, held in association with FBD Insurance.

The awards, which celebrate Ireland’s culinary excellence, local provenance, and sustainable food practices, took place at The K Club in Kildare.

Louis Murphy of the Dunraven Arms Hotel in Adare was named Host of the Year, a prestigious accolade that highlights outstanding hospitality and dedication to Irish food culture.

Now approaching its 20th year in 2026, the Good Food Ireland Awards are the only cross-sector awards honouring excellence across Ireland’s food and tourism industries. This year’s event attracted hundreds of entries from businesses nationwide, along with thousands of public votes for the Food Lovers’ Choice Awards.

Winners were selected by an independent panel of Irish and international experts following mystery inspections and detailed assessments. Judging focused on commitment to local sourcing, Irish provenance, and sustainability.

Speaking at the event, Minister Noel Grealish, Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food, Fisheries and the Marine, said: “I was delighted to attend the Good Food Ireland Awards, which brings together two of Ireland’s most successful indigenous sectors – food and tourism.

“At their heart, the Good Food Ireland Awards honour excellence, and reflect the values and vision embedded in Food Vision 2030, our national strategy for sustainable agri-food development, that have made Irish food a global benchmark for quality and sustainability," said Noel.
