A LANDMARK Irish–Cambodian education partnership will take centre stage at Mary Immaculate College (MIC) this week, as educators gather for the first event of its kind linking teacher development experts in both countries.

The cross-continental education exchange is led by Irish NGO SeeBeyondBorders whose CEO, Colm Byrne, has spent over a decade working on the ground to improve teaching quality in Cambodian primary schools.

The pioneering event will take place in the Foundation Building, Room G08 at MIC on Wednesday at 1pm. Educators, researchers, and citizens passionate about education, inclusion, social justice and development are invited to join a dynamic hour of innovation, learning, and dialogue.

Professor Dermot Nestor, President, MIC said: “Cambodia teaches us that authentic transformation does not begin by replacing local traditions: it begins by learning from them. At MIC our aim is not replication, but resonance.’’
