A BOOK and video of The 3 Johnnys Concert, which took place earlier this year to celebrate the talents of the late local legends, Johnny Duhan, Johnny Fean and Jon Kenny, will be launched next month in the city centre.

The concert presented by RTÉ DJ Mickey Mac was held in the Lime Tree Theatre on May 20 and was organised by Cha Haran, an ex member of the Limerick band Granny's Intentions, who also performed on the night along with fellow former member John Ryan.

Mick Hanly, John Ryan and Brian O'Connor gave a tribute to singer-songwriter Johnny Duhan, and Johnny Fean's brothers Donal and Ray and Blues Train will performed in his honour. Finally, a tribute to comedian and ex member of Limerick band Gimik Jon Kenny was given by Derek O'Sullivan.

Mr Haran was delighted with how the event went and he thanked the Lime Tree Theatre, Limerick City and County Council Festivals and Events team and Senator Maria Byrne for their help in organising the show.

The launch of the book and video will be held in The People’s Museum on December 5 from 7pm to 9pm.
