Gardaí probe theft of car after keys stolen from home in Limerick City

The thieves gained access through an unlocked door to the car owner's home to access the car keys

LIMERICK gardai are investigating the theft of a car from outside a home in Limerick city.

Sergeant Michelle O’Halloran, Crime Prevention Officer Henry Street Garda Station said:

"On December 30th, a man in his twenties reported that his car was stolen from outside his home at Cathedral Place in Limerick, following the keys being stolen from his home. The thieves gained access through an unlocked door to his home to access the car keys."

"The car, a 2010 black Audi A3, was later recovered in the Ballysimon area," added Sgt O'Halloran.

Anyone with any information regarding this incident or who observed any suspicious activity in the Cathedral Place area overnight on December 30, can contact the Gardaí at Henry Street Garda Station on 061 212400, or can call the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111.
