New video campaign promotes Limerick as a leading student city

LIMERICK City and County Council, in partnership with Mary Immaculate College, UL, TUS and Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board, has launched a new promotional video showcasing Limerick as one of Ireland’s leading student destinations.

The Experience Limerick video forms part of a CAO Deadline social media campaign running throughout January ahead of 2026 CAO Deadline Day on February 1.

It highlights both the academic excellence across the city’s education institutions and the vibrant lifestyle and culture that define Limerick as a student city.

Home to an estimated 50,000 students including around 34,000 third-level students from more than 100 countries, Limerick offers a unique blend of world-class education, rich cultural life and clear employment pathways.

The video follows students from campus into the heart of the city, enjoying its music, sport, outdoor amenities and social scene. The collaborative campaign positions Limerick as a welcoming and dynamic place to study.
