Shannon Airport
Several flights were diverted to Shannon Airport yesterday due to ongoing travel disruptions caused by poor weather in western Ireland.
Low visibility amid continued adverse conditions at Ireland West Airport led to the temporary diversion of three flights to Shannon.

The flights, the FR890 from Edinburgh, FR6560 from Liverpool, and FR805 from Stansted, were all scheduled to land at Ireland West Airport on Monday, February 2. However, due to fog-related low visibility, they were rerouted to Shannon Airport.
All aircraft landed safely at Shannon Airport, with passengers remaining on board during the temporary stopover.
Once weather conditions improved and the fog lifted at Ireland West Airport, each flight was able to depart Shannon and continue to its intended destination.
Shannon Airport operational teams were on hand throughout to facilitate the diversions and ensure that aircraft could resume operations with minimal delay.
A spokesperson for Shannon Airport said: "The Shannon Airport Group remains committed to supporting airlines and airport partners when adverse weather impacts normal operations and wishes all passengers safe onward travel."
The diversions follow a Met Éireann weather advisory covering February 1 to 9, warning of heavy and persistent rainfall, especially in southern and eastern coastal counties, which may also cause river and coastal flooding.
