A COMPANY based in Gardens International is blooming after scooping a Limerick City Tidy Towns award.
The voluntary group named risk management firm Realta, previously known as North, as its first winner of the year for January and February.
Maura O’Neill, Limerick City Tidy Towns said giving the award to Realta is something of a departure.

She explained: “While historically our awards have been given mainly for the appearance of business or residential buildings in the city, this award is also partly for the significant volunteering efforts the Realta team have done since they first joined us. In 2025 they sent litter-picking teams out on at least four separate occasions, and they also contributed to the upkeep of the communal areas of their Gardens International building.”

Realta, which opened in Limerick in June 2024, says it’s focused on building the next generation of risk management products focused on fraud, anti-money laundering and credit risk.
It is Limerick Tidy Towns first bi-monthly winner for 2026.
If you wish to nominate a business in the city for an award or indeed to volunteer with Limerick City Tidy Towns, they meet every Sunday morning at 11am at the corner of Thomas Street and O’Connell Street, and on Wednesday evenings at 6pm outside the White House during summer months.
A public vote is to take place to name the overall Limerick City Tidy Towns winner for 2025 in the coming weeks.
The companies in the running are the Crew Brewing Company - which closed at Christmas - alongside Mike O’Connell Menswear, Katy Daly’s, Richmond Terrace residents, Cahill’s Tea and the Savoy Hotel.
