Gardai and firefighters have responded to the incident between Bruree and Kilmallock

Emergency services respond to car on fire on County Limerick road

Kilmallock Fire and Rescue Service responded to the scene

GARDAI and firefighters responded to the scene of a car ablaze in County Limerick this Wednesday evening.

The incident occurred on the R518 between Bruree and Kilmallock at around 5pm.

There are no reports of any injuries to those in the car, at this time.

Three appliances from nearby Kilmallock Fire and Rescue Service responded and put out the car fire.

A stop-go system is in operation as the vehicle is parked on the main thoroughfare. It is not known what started the car fire.
