Extensive damage was caused to the van after hitting the bridge

A VAN driver has come a cropper for a second time in just over two weeks in Limerick city while they were attempting to go under a bridge.

The motorist misjudged the height of the underpass at Honan’s Quay and struck Sarsfield Bridge. The road traffic incident occurred shortly after 10am this Thursday morning.

There are no reports of any injuries suffered by the driver but the van was extensively damaged in the collision.

A similar incident at the exact same location occurred on March 3 (see story below).
