The late Timothy Lynch Jnr with his partner Catriona Brennan
JUST 18 weeks on from the sudden death of her partner while building their “forever home”, a Limerick woman is raising funds for the Templeglantine Community First Responders in his memory.
On November 22, 2025, while working as a builder on their own future home, Timothy Lynch Jnr from Kilmurry, Feenagh, suddenly passed away.
His partner Catriona Brennan from Kilmeedy said that the local first responders were the first on the scene on that tragic day, and they did all they could to save Tim.
“He was a blocklayer by trade, he would have blocked a lot of houses, garages and walls throughout the country and all over Munster - he was very talented. He would never say no to anyone and was so kind-hearted.

“He is deeply missed every day by myself and all of his family and friends. It's been extremely hard, because Tim passed away so suddenly,” Ms Brennan said, adding that the community have been a constant support throughout that time.
They have now set out to raise €20,000 and it's a cause very close to their hearts.

“The money will go towards so many amazing things and it's really going to help other families that may be in our position in the future,” Ms Brennan said.
“This is his legacy. If we get to €20,000, it will be an amazing thing and a beautiful way to honour his memory.
“This is our way of thanking the first responders for all that they did that night,” she said, adding that the volunteers rely heavily on fundraisers like this to continue their life-saving work.

Ms Brennan said: “Tim was amazing and one of a kind - they really broke the mold when they made Tim, we miss him so much every day. Tim was a phenomenal man.”
There is a coffee morning on Sunday, March 29 in Feenagh Hall from 10am until 1pm and it is a cash only event. Mungret Community College where Ms Brennan works, are also hosting a bake sale and a colours day.
