THOUSANDS of volunteers took to the streets of Limerick for the 11th annual Team Limerick Clean-Up (TLC) the largest of its kind in Ireland.
A record-breaking 24,000 volunteers took part in Europe’s largest one-day clean-up on Good Friday. TLC co-founders JP McManus, Paul O’Connell and Helen O’Donnell launched activities for the event at the Mick Mackey Statue, Castleconnell village.
School clean-ups for TLC also took place before schools closed for their Easter holidays.
TLC visited Anglesboro National School, Corpus Christi Primary School, Kilteely National School, Salesian Secondary College and St Clement’s College.
