GARDAÍ are investigating a break-in and car theft that took place in Raheen, county Limerick, in the early hours of April 2.
Sergeant Aoife Hannon of Henry Street Garda Station said: “In this case, the keys to a vehicle had been left on a table just inside the front door. The suspects entered the house, took the keys, and stole the vehicle from outside the property.”
“The vehicle in question is a grey 2005 Ford, and at this time it has not yet been recovered,” the sergeant said.
Sergeant Hannon is encouraging the people of Limerick to place keys well away from doors, windows and letterboxes, and to avoid leaving them on hallway tables or anywhere they can be easily reached.

According to the sergeant: “Making small changes like this can greatly reduce the chances of becoming a victim of crime.”
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have noticed suspicious activity in the Raheen
area during those early morning hours last Wednesday night into Thursday morning, or anyone who may have information about the stolen vehicle, to contact Roxboro Road Garda Station on 061 214 340.
