THE regional branch of the Irish Patchwork Society will be launching their annual exhibition this Thursday evening at Dooradoyle's library.

Mayor of Limerick John Moran will be on hand to launch the event, entitled the Hares Corner from 6.30pm.

Art exhibits will then be on display until Thurday, May 7.

The title of the exhibition, "The Hare's Corner" is taken from a book by Jane Clarke and Catherine Cleary.

It's a celebration of the story of Irish communities, plus restoring habitats, fostering biodiversity and reconnecting people with nature. This initiative encourages landowners to make space for nature in their fields, woods and orchards.

The exhibition is work in textiles, stitched by hand and sewing machine.

All are welcome to attend the launch.
