Luxury BMW SUV valued at over €100,000 stolen in Limerick

Gardai in Bruff are investigating

CRIMINALS struck on Christmas Eve in County Limerick to steal a luxury BVM SUV valued at well over €100,000.

Limerick Live understands a 201 Black BMW X7 Sports edition was stolen in Rockhill, Bruree. According to the BMW website, a new model costs over €160,000 (see picture below).

A garda spokesperson confirmed officers are investigating a burglary which occurred at Bruree on Saturday, December 24 at approximately 1.45am.

"There are no arrests at this time. Investigations are ongoing," said a garda spokesperson.

It is thought that gardai are following a number of lines of enquiry including whether the BMV was stolen for order, or if the high-powered vehicle will be used to commit further crimes.

Anybody who may have seen any suspicious behaviour in the early hours of Christmas Eve in Rockhill, Bruree and the wider area, or can help gardai with their investigation are asked to contact Bruff garda station on 061 382940.
