Edgeworthstown's new €4.5 million library will be officially opened by Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys TD on Friday.
The official opening of what is Ireland's newest library coincides with 'Ireland Reads Day' (Friday, February 25) and it is one of many events planned to mark the day at county Longford libraries.
The new community library opened its doors to the public on Monday, November 22, 2021, with the Minister having to postpone a scheduled official opening owing to Covid-19 restrictions that were in place at the time.
