Witnesses are being sought following an early morning assault in the centre of a town in the Midlands.
Gardai issued an appeal for the information in relation to the incident near the Taxi Rank at Top Square, Portlaoise at around 3am on the morning of March 18.
Pensioner slams €100 road traffic fine in Longford as a ‘farce’
A retired old age pensioner has branded being fined €100 for the non display of tax on his car in Longford town over two years ago as a “farce”.
In particular Gardai are eager to talk to anyone who witnessed the incident or mobile phone footage from the area.
"We are also interested in any dashcam footage from any vehicles parked at the taxi rank at the time," Gardai said in an online appeal.
