Longford senior hurlers lose to New York in the Connacht League

Longford lost their Connacht Hurling League clash against New York in the Connacht GAA Air Dome on Monday evening.

New York . . . 3-30   Longford . . . 0-16

Missing a number of regulars, Longford trailed by 2-14 to 0-9 at the break and were no match for a fairly impressive New York side who ran out easy winners. 

With Westmeath native Adrian Moran back for a second season as the Longford manager, the county hurlers are preparing for the National League Division 3B campaign with the opening round fixture against Cavan at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park on Saturday February 4. 

Longford Scorers: Paddy Lynam (0-5, 2f), David Buckley (0-5, 1f), Reuben Murray (0-3), Eamon Allen (0-2), Charles Flynn (0-1).
