There was an electric atmosphere in Cnoc Mhure Granard last Friday as students Solomon Eduard and Joshua Osabuehien and their proud teacher Charmaine Hetherton returned with the 'World Designer of the Year' title from the first ever Junk Kouture World Final in Abu Dhabi.

Solomon and Joshua's world winning design is called ‘Back to the Future’ and it is made from old shower mats, an old laundry basket, an aerial, car wipers and tubing from an old tractor tyres. Solomon and Joshua were competing against 60 other finalists from Dublin, London, Paris, Milan and New York. Longford Leader photographer Shelley Corcoran was in Cnoc Mhuire for last Friday's historic homecoming and she captured this great gallery of photos. Don't forget to tag and share with your friends!
