Denim Day for Dementia is celebrated annually on the first Friday of March, and this year, it fell on March 3. Whether you dare to double denim or re-use old denim, The Alzheimer's Society of Ireland urge people to wear denim and donate to show their support for those living with dementia.
Staff at Keenan's of Tarmonbarry, Co Roscommon jumped on board and wore denim to raise much needed funds for dementia.
The staff decided as a team to donate all tips made on Friday, March 3 to the Alzheimer's Society of Ireland.
Keenan's management also agreed to double the tips made on Friday to increase the funds made.
Keenan's are delighted to announce that €535.00 was raised with tips on Friday, bringing the total to €1,070 raised for The Alzheimer's Society of Ireland.
Keenan's would like to thank their staff and all the customer's who left tips and donations on Friday.
Manager David Keenan said, "I have to compliment the staff on donating their tips on Friday. There was a great buzz about the place. Thanks to all the customer's who came through the doors and donated - all for a great cause."
