Longford pride as Irish dancer in Australia achieves third place at World Championships

A Longford family is beaming with pride after a talented young Irish dancer in Australia achieved third place in the World Championships.

Isabella Cummins, aged six, is a member of the Claddagh School of Irish Dance in Mackay, Queensland and she recently  competed in the 2023 World & International Irish Dance Championships Open U8’s in Killarney.  

Daughter of Paul Cummins, Abbeylara, Co Longford and Rebecca from Australia, Isabella was delighted to finish third in the world.  

Very proud grandmother, Pauline Cummins, was thrilled with Isabella's achievement and she told Longford Live, "We are overjoyed at her success in these championships and we are so very proud of her."
