Fine Gael Senator Micheal Carrigy
Minister of State at the Department of Finance Jennifer Carroll McNeill will be in Longford this Friday to lend her support to the county's next generation of rising entrepreneurs.
The Fine Gael minister is to take in a special event at Longford's Pig Market Lane which will see students who took part in the recent Local Enterprise Awards showcase their wares to the wider public.
The event, organised by Fine Gael Senator Micheal Carrigy, will also see officials from both Granard and North Midlands Credit Union be in attendance.
“It's an opportunity for these students to sell their wares, but it's also a chance for people to speak with and see what ideas these students have come up with,” he said.
Among those expected to be in situ is National Student Enterprise Intermediate award winner Caitlin Morris.
The Moyne Community School student is the founder of 'Clip Clop Designs' which repurposes horseshoes to make colourful decorations for the home.
The event is open to the public and is scheduled from 10am to 1pm
