Comfort, style, spacious, chic and quite simply in a league of its own.

Just some of the umpteen superlatives that have and continue to be used to sum up Longford’s premier and award winning PVs.

Close to a decade on from its closure, the popular Ballymahon Street venue is back at the very summit of the midlands social and hospitality scene.

At the forefront of that impressive turnaround are husband and wife team Barry and Lisa Lynam.

The respective Edgeworthstown and Granard natives took over the four storey, 10,000 sq metre premises in September 2021, at a time when Longford’s hospitality sector was struggling to withstand the onset of Covid-19.

Over the intervening 18 months or more, the pair have not just restored the venue to its former glory, but have added more than a touch of elegance and class to an establishment that is arguably Longford’s go to port of call whatever the occasion.

Thanks to an investment of in excess of €500,000, the premises is now home to 14 plush and luxurious en suite bedrooms.

It’s an addition which, following a painstaking nine month refurbishment, was officially added to the PVs brand on May 1.

“That’s what Longford needs,” remarked Barry.

“We believe in Longford, what Longford needs is beds and that’s why we have invested because this town needs it.”

From the minute you walk in to the minute you walk out, the all-round PVs experience has to be seen to be believed.

Alongside a comprehensive drinks menu, featuring all of the household beers, lagers, ales and wines that comes with a top class venue of its ilk, PVs can also boast an extensive and unparalleled cocktail menu.

It’s an offering which would water the eye of even the most discerning of patrons.

And that’s before one even takes a glimpse at PVs eclectic food menu.

From 12 noon daily Tuesday to Sunday, a diverse offering of snacks, lunches and delicious meals can be had, all of which are made fresh and competitively priced from the venue’s al la carte menu.

Whether you're in the mood for a fresh salad, juicy burger or the likes of a pan-fried fillet of seabass, a world of mouthwatering dishes await.

Top that with an equally extensive array of delicious desserts and treats, it’s no wonder PVs’ stock as a haven for food connoisseurs is continuing to rise on a weekly basis.

It’s that level of culinary notoriety which has seen the premises’ Red Room become a leading destination for parties and private functions.

Add in its trend setting Eden Nightclub, which is readily viewed as being among the midlands’ must see social haunts, it’s of little surprise why the name PVs is not just raising the bar, but setting the hospitality standard for others to aim at.
