There was great excitement in Meán Scoil Mhuire during the final two weeks of the 2022/2023 academic year. Final assemblies were held for all year groups, during which the much coveted end of year awards were presented.
Ms McEnroe, Sixth Year Year-Head, presided over the final assembly for the Leaving Certificate class of 2023. The highlight of the assembly was the presentation of the Student of the Year Award to Emily Bonsu, a worthy recipient who has greatly contributed to school life. Emily, who was nominated for the award by teachers and peers, delivered her acceptance speech to rapturous applause. Congratulations to Karen O’ Boyle and Daniela Rana who were nominated as finalists in the Student of the Year Award category.
Claire Keady, Anna Lynch and Nagma Ali Abdunnabi received the Academic Excellence Award. Ms Macko presented the CEIST Spirit Award to Cara Walshe and Isabelle Sweeney received the Senior Sports Girl of the Year Award for 2023.
Ms Lyons and Ms McEnroe complimented all students on their excellent and unforgettable contribution to Meán Scoil Mhuire over the past five and six years and thanked all the staff for their hard work and dedication in supporting the students to reach this important milestone.
Assemblies were also held for all remaining year groups, where students were recognised for their work, dedication, conduct, attendance and participation in extra-curricular activities. We would like to congratulate all award recipients and their families on their wonderful achievements this year.
