Paddy Egan all prepared for the 10Km Family Fun Cycle in Kenagh
All eyes will be on Kenagh village in just over a week’s time as it plays host to an age-old fundraiser with a difference.
Final preparations are being put in place for a 10km Family Fun Cycle in aid of Kenagh Tidy Towns (Kenagh District Development Association) this Sunday, June 25.
In a bid to add extra intrigue to the occasion, organisers have decided to go with a High Nelly theme and are encouraging participants to don their finest traditional regalia on the day.
“It is the first year we are having it and though we have had other cycles before, we are going with a High Nelly run to add a bit of a twist to it,” said committee member Brian Egan.
“If you are taking part in the High Nelly run, we are hoping as many people as possible dress up in 1930s period dress.”

Entry fees are €10 per person or €20 per family with a barbeque taking place at O’Boyle’s following the cycle.
