Lisryan

Lisryan Tidy Towns committee are working hard organising a good old-fashioned family fun weekend in the Community Park in the heart of the village which takes place from Friday, July 28 to Sunday 30

Lisryan will be the place to be on the weekend of Friday 28th to Sunday 30th July.

The tidy towns committee are working hard at organising a good old-fashioned family fun weekend in the Community Park in the heart of the village. Admission to the park and activities are free.

The weekend is set to commence with an open-air mass in the park on Friday 28th at 8pm, followed by refreshments in the park also.

Why not start Saturday 29th off with a 5km run scheduled to start at 12 noon, registration details will be found on Facebook and Instagram.

We are hoping to have market stalls, we are currently looking for anyone who is interested in running a stall to sell their goods to get in touch so they don’t miss out on this opportunity.

There will be kids’ entertainment and lots more taking place throughout the day.

Sunday kicks off with a kiddies tractor run (trikes, bikes, go-karts etc), followed by treats and refreshments in the park. Registration will also be required for this event, details will be found on Facebook and Instragam pages. There again will be family fun sports style events throughout the day with some live music.

Refreshments will be available throughout the weekend in the hospitality tent.

The weekend events finish up with music provided by The Hot Pokers in the Crossroads Inn, free admission, raffle on the night.
It will be great to see you all there. The voluntary committee works tirelessly on behalf of the village and surrounding community to maintain the upkeep of the area and would very much appreciate your support. We will be calling on people to help in any way they can over the weekend to ensure it’s a great success.

Our committee strives to improve on our tidy towns results every year and it cannot be done without the volunteers we have at the moment, but we could always do with more.

A recent clean-up day saw local children getting involved and having a great time of it.

Don’t forget 28-30 July for a good community get-together.
