The magic of movie opening nights is centre stage as Grattan Óg will screen the films created for their highly successful The OsKaRs.
Céili, ceol and craic will also be part of the evening of entertainment at Magan's Bar, Killashee.

Grattan Óg vice chairman, Eamonn Brennan, said the club will screen the seven short movies featuring local people.

“We are inviting people to join us in Magan's Pub next Saturday at 7.30pm for some music, song dance and the OsKaR movies,” Eamon said, “The Magan family have been very generous to us for our two events and it's a way of thanking them on the evening.”

The Grattan Óg OsKaRs was a hugely successful fundraiser for the club. The club's most recent development included two new dressing rooms and the event helped reduce the loan secured for that development.
Since 2022 Grattan Óg have won The Junior Championship in 2022, The Ladies Intermediate Championship in 2022 and U12, U13 and U14 championships in that year.

The club has been in existence for over 40 years and there has been significant growth in their ladies club which started six years ago.
A vital aspect of the fundraiser is to create proper facilities for the ladies club. Grattan Óg provides an important service to the youth of the area and we want to continue to grow.

The funds raised will be used to build new ladies dressing rooms, gym and meeting room.

The main sponsors for the OsKaRs were Mick Maguire Construction Stonepark, Longford Fireplaces with the Nerney Family, local accountancy firm Grant Thornton, Keenagh Craft Metal, Value Centre in Mullingar, Elite Energies, Glancy Enviro and the charity Self Help Africa.

Eamonn concluded by saying: “All roads lead to Magan's of Killashee next Saturday evening (July 24) at 7.30pm.
