The Longford senior football squad organised a Last Man Standing fundraiser to help with the purchase of an electronic therapy chair for St Christopher's Special School in Longford town.
Ms Sheila Dinnegan, Principal of St Christopher's Special School, expressed thanks to the Longford players.
“The Board of Management, pupils and staff would like to sincerely thank Longford County GAA footballers for kindly raising €3,000 for the school. The money has been used to purchase an electronic therapy chair.”
Ms Dinnegan added, “The chair has been a wonderful addition to our pupils who love spending time on it. The chair provides whole-body sensory input and has become a daily part of the pupils occupational therapy routines. It has a very calming effect and is a great tool for children who display anxiety or need support with emotional regulation.
“We are extremely grateful to our county football players and to all who supported their fundraising effort.”
