On Sunday, June 18 in St Mary's Church, Legga a unique celebration for the Healy family took place. Very Rev Monsignor Gerard Healy celebrated his 62nd year as a priest and Fr Charles Healy celebrated his 25th year as a priest.

It's not every Sunday that the community of Dromard celebrates Diamond+ and Silver Jubilees.

Fr Pat Lennon celebrated mass along with Fr Charlie and Monsignor Gerard Healy, with a large crowd in attendance.

As Sunday, June 18 was Vocation Sunday, Monsignor Gerard Healy lit a candle to encourage more people to take up vocations during 2023. Fr Pat Lennon presented Monsignor Gerard with Bog Oak to represent his roots in Dromard and also Dromard GAA presented a framed cert for a tree planted at Páirc na nGael Dromard.

After the celebration mass, the community returned to Moyne Latin School for refreshments. A special work of thanks to all those who organised the wonderful day, especially the parish council.
