Centre stage on Main Street on Saturday night will be Bagatelle & Friends. One of the highlights of the 2019 festival was the band and its celebrated lead vocalist, Liam Reilly, who sadly passed away in January 2021.
Now the band and a number of friends have come together to perform a limited number of gigs this summer to remember the legendary Liam Reilly. Band manager, Jim McQuillan, said, “Liam really enjoyed playing that gig in Longford and the band felt it was only right to try and bring the show here and we’re delighted that the organisers agreed to have the band. The people of Longford are in for a really special night.”
The live music on Saturday night will start on Main Street at 7pm with rising local star, Brendan Kelly & Band.
With no access to LEADER funding this year and whilst trying to preserve the ‘free music’ ethos of the event, the organisers are encouraging the public attending on Saturday night to make a voluntary €5 donation on admission. The charge is completely optional.
