Pride of place for this year’s festival and bringing the curtain down on Sunday night will be the fabulous local band, Audio Pilot.
With Longford town’s Mick Warnock on vocals, this four piece act has been getting rave reviews across the country and there could be no better closing act for the Longford festival.
The band rattles out all the classics as well as some of their own tunes and are firmly established as favourites with the Longford public.
Warming up the stage for Audio Pilot will be the top notch Ruaille Buaille, who offer a heady mix of celtic rock and ballads and also a host of local acts.
The live music on Sunday will start on Ballymahon Street at 3pm with Audio Pilot closing out the evening with their final tune at 10pm.
With no access to LEADER funding this year and whilst trying to preserve the ‘free music’ ethos of the event, the organisers are encouraging the public attending on Sunday to make a voluntary €5 donation on admission. The charge is completely optional.
