The recent death has occurred peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Monday, July 31, 2023 of Blaise (Aloysius) Ireland Ben-Shieling, Brianstown, Longford.

Predeceased by his parents, his sister Susan and by his brother Paul. Blaise will be forever missed by his heartbroken family his wife Helen, sons Francis and Anthony (Canada), daughters Jennifer, Pauline Taffe, Helenie Quinn, Stephanie (Mayo) and Catrina, brothers Mel, Kevin (Dublin), James, Paddy (Clare), Ciaran (Kildare) and Josie (Kildare), sisters Freda and Brigid Farrell, his 17 grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, respective partners, nieces, nephews, good neighbours and a wide circle of friends. May he rest in peace.

Reposing at Glennon's Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road, Longford on Friday, August 4 from 5.00pm concluding with prayers at 8.00pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Saturday, August 5 at 11.00am in St. Mary's Church, Newtownforbes, with interment afterwards in the local cemetery. House strictly private please, except for close family and friends. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to St. Christopher's Services, Longford c/o Glennon Funeral Directors or any family member.
