Bridgie (Brigid) Curwin (née McHugh), Rathmore, Aughnacliffe, Longford


The death occurred peacefully, at home, on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 of Bridgie (Brigid) Curwin (née McHugh), Rathmore, Aughnacliffe, Longford. Predeceased by her husband Michael, son Packie, grand-daughters and grandsons. Bridgie will be sadly missed and always remembered by her loving family, sons Brendan, Johnny, Mikie and Jim, daughters Marie Smith and Betty Cox, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, her adored grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and dear friends.
In life we loved you dearly, In death we love you still, In our hearts you will hold a place, That no one could ever fill. Rest in Peace Bridgie. Reposing in Connell's Funeral Home, Church Street, Longford, N39 KN66, on Wednesday, August 16 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 7.30pm.
Removal from her home on Thursday, August 17, arriving to St Colmcille's Church, for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family home private at all times please.

Imelda Staunton (née Murtagh) Creevy House, Creevy, Granard, Longford, formerly 84 Retreat Park, Athlone


The death occurred peacefully in the loving and tender care of the staff at Our Lady’s Manor Nursing Home, Edgeworthstown, surrounded by her family on Sunday, August 13, 2023 of Imelda Staunton (nee Murtagh), Creevy House, Creevy, Granard, Co Longford and formerly 84 Retreat Park, Athlone.
Predeceased by her husband Liam, parents Peter and Kathleen, brother Fintan, sisters Maureen, Lena, Clare, Frances and Kathleen. Imelda will be sadly missed and always remembered by her loving family, son Cathal, daughter-in-law Tracey, her adored grandchildren Liam, Gary and Isobel, sister Anna, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours. May She Rest In Peace.
Reposing at Creevy House, Creevy, Granard, Co Longford, on Tuesday, August 15 from 2pm to 9pm. Removal on Wednesday, August 16 to St Mary’s Church, Carra, Co Longford for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by Christian burial in Coosan Cemetery, Athlone, arriving at 3pm approx. House private Tuesday morning, August 15 please. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to Our Lady’s Manor Private Nursing Home.

Christopher (Christy) Campbell, Glan, Kilcogy, Cavan


The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by his family following a brief illness at the Lisdarn Unit, Cavan on Monday, August 14, 2023 of Christopher (Christy) Campbell, Glan, Kilcogy, Cavan. Predeceased by his parents Packie and Maureen. Sadly missed by his brothers and sisters Marie, Irene (Lynch), Patsy, Caroline (Finnegan), his twin Brendan, brothers in law James and Danny, sisters in law Geraldine and Mary Olivia, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and friends. May he rest in peace.
Reposing at Reilly's Funeral Home, Kilcogy (N39W1D6) on Wednesday evening, August 16 from 6pm with prayers at 8pm.  Funeral Mass on Thursday, August 17 at 11am in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Mullahoran (N39HN84). Internment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. House strictly private please.

Michael Martin, Lahausk, Strokestown, Roscommon / Tulsk, Roscommon


The death occurred peacefully, in his ninety-fifth year, surrounded by his nephews and nieces, in the loving care of the staff at Drumderrig Nursing Home, Boyle on Sunday, August 13, 2023 of Michael (Mike) Martin Lahausk, Strokestown, Co Roscommon/ Tulsk, Roscommon. Predeceased by his mother Winifred, father Patrick, sister Helena (Rushe), brothers Thomas and Patrick, and nephew Tommy. Sadly missed by his loving nephews, nieces, sister-in-law Myra, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
Reposing at Brady’s Funeral Home, Elphin on Wednesday evening, August 16 from 5.30pm until 7pm. Removal on Thursday morning August 17 to St Catherine's Church, Killina, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in Killina Cemetery. The Martin family is grateful for your prayers and support at this time.

Mary Collins (née Masterson), Omagh, Tyrone / Ballybofey, Donegal / Mountnugent, Cavan


The death occurred peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 of Mary Josephine Collins (nee Masterson), Omagh, and formerly Mountnugent, Co Cavan and Ballybofey, Co Donegal. Much loved wife of James. Devoted mother to Teresa (John), John (Bridget) and Bernadette.  Daughter of the late Matt and Annie RIP.  Sister of Kathleen, John, Philomena, Mona and the late Matt Joe RIP.
Remains reposing at O’Kane Bros Ltd Funeral Home, 59 Drumnakilly Road, Omagh BT79 0JP from 8pm to 10pm on Tuesday, August 15 and from 2pm on Wednesday, August 16 until removal at 4pm to St Brigid’s Church, Mountnugent, Co Cavan for 6:30pm. Requiem mass at 12 noon on Thursday, August 17 with cremation afterwards at 2:30pm in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan. On her soul sweet Jesus have mercy.  
Family residence is Private. Visitors to home of John in Omagh.  Family flowers only. Donations in lieu of flowers, if so desired, to The Samaritans c/o O’Kane Bros Ltd Funeral Directors or a family member. 

Bridget Walker (née Hynds) Cloghanboy, Athlone, Co Westmeath


The death occurred peacefully, in the tender and excellent care of the staff of Mowlam Nursing Home, Moate, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, August 14, 2023 of Bridget Walker (nee Hynds), Cloghanboy, Athlone, and late of Glasson, Athlone, Co Westmeath.
Predeceased by her devoted husband Johnnie (Séan), parents Daniel and Catherine, her brothers and sisters. Sadly missed by her heartbroken family Peter, Donal, Catherine (Donoghue) and Anne (Murray), (Fuerty), grandchildren Jonathon, Keith, Sarah, Tracey, Aaron, Leah, Amy, Lauren, Cian, Adam and Colin, great grandson Auggie, sons in law Gerry and Thomas, daughters in law Bernie and Kay, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and close friends. Philip Bernard (Ben) Donoghue, Radlett, Hertfordshire and formerly of Garadice, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim
The death occurred peacefully at home in the loving care of his family on Thursday, August 3, 2023 of  Philip Bernard Donoghue (Ben), Radlett, Hertfordshire and formerly of Garadice, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim.
Predeceased by his mother Bridget and father Peter and brother Joseph. Forever missed by his beloved wife Elizabeth, their children, Peter, Eithne, Joseph, Sharon, Claire and Tina, daughters-in-law Fiona and Monika, sons-in-law John, David, Gary and Philip, his treasured grandchildren, John, Sarah, Niall, Erin, Connor, Ruairi, Josie, Ben, Ollie, Matthew, Christina, Lily and Alex and great-grandson Alfie, sister Sr Eithne, his extended family, and countless friends.

John Hogan, Sligo / Dublin / Mohill, Co Leitrim

The death occurred suddenly at his home in Mohill, Co. Leitrim on Monday, August 14, 2023 of John Hogan, Sligo, Dublin and Mohill, Co Leitrim.  Predeceased by his beloved son, Dan (2014), John will be dearly missed by his son, Rory, Rory’s mother, Elaine, his sisters Maria (Pereira), Siobhán (Doherty) and Fidelma (Lloyd), his aunt Eileen (Duignan), his brothers and sisters in-law, nieces and nephews, cousins, his grand-niece and his many friends. Rest in Peace.
Reposing in Nazareth House Chapel, Sligo (F91 A243) on Thursday, August 17 from 5pm to 7pm. The Funeral Mass will take place in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Sligo at 11.30am on Friday, August 18 with burial afterwards in Sligo Town Cemetery. The death occurred, peacefully in the devoted care of Breda and all the staff at Innis Ree Lodge, Ballyleague on Monday, August 14, 2023 of Pat Rogers, Ardsallagh, Roscommon Town and formerly of Castleruby, Tulsk, Co Roscommon.  He will be very sadly missed by his loving wife Nuala, sons Dara, Ronan and Brian, sisters Mary, Pauline and Geraldine, brothers Michael and Bernie, daughters-in-law Liz and Breege, grandchildren Heather, Rian and Aran, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, former colleagues at Roscommon CBS and friends. Pat is predeceased by his beloved sister Eileen. May he rest in peace.

Removal from his home on Wednesday morning, August 16 at 10.30am arriving to the Sacred Heart Church, Roscommon for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am. Burial afterwards in St Coman’s Cemetery. The deathoccurred on Tuesday August 1, 2023 of Mary Anne (Marie) Reynolds (nee Lynch), Streatham, London and Warlingham, Surrey and  late of Castlepollard, Co Westmeath. Wife of the late JP (Seamus) Reynolds (RIP March 28, 2020), late of Belturbet. Deeply missed by daughters Mary and Siobhan, brother Sean, grandchildren Conor, Ronan, Niamh, Sophie and Juliette, extended family and friends.
Requiem Mass at 11.30am in St Ambrose Catholic Church, Warlingham on Tuesday,  August 29, 2023. Burial to follow at All Saints Churchyard, Warlingham. May she Rest in Peace.
