The crowds came, the weather shone and from the evidence of last Sunday, August 20, the state of ploughing in north Longford couldn't be in better shape. Arguably one of the region's more understated of agricultural spectacles, Colmcille Ploughing and Heritage Day more than lived up to its pre match day hype as spectators were treated to an afternoon of high class action, fun and entertainment.

Longford Leader / Longford Live photographer Shelley Corcoran made her way to Aughnacliffe for the event and we hope you enjoy her photos. And don't forget to tag and share with your friends!
