Brian Kelly’s goal at the beginning of the second half spearheaded Cashel’s comeback victory over Sean Connolly’s at McGann Park in Kenagh on Friday night last.
Cashel . . . 1-7 Sean Connolly’s . . . 0-9
Cashel found themselves 5 points in arrears at the break but 1-5 without reply in the second half gave them a crucial win over the previously unbeaten Connolly’s in the group stage of the Intermediate Football Championship.
The Ballinalee outfit fielded without Dessie Reynolds for the first time in this year’s Hennessy Cup and his absence was definitely felt as they suffered their first defeat.
Though, the 4 wins garnered whilst their county star was present will be enough to see Michael Lynch’s side through to the semi-finals.
