Edgeworthstown's Bracklin Road will be fully resurfaced, meeting hears

Paul Ross

Fine Gael Cllr Paul Ross

The Bracklin Road in Edgeworthstown is to receive a full resurfacing following a motion by Cllr Paul Ross at Ballymahon Municipal District last week.

Cllr Ross called for Irish Water to properly resurface the road following works in recent months, which left the road unfinished and has caused “huge annoyance” in the area.

The motion was seconded by Cllr Mick Cahill who said “when we get a water leak and works are done by a contractor, I’d imagine it should be agreed with the contractor that the job is complete.”

A response from Longford County Council confirmed that Irish Water will be resurfacing the road.
