Council to rule on plans to build 35 houses in Edgeworthstown

Edgeworthstown

Plans have been submitted for a 35 unit housing scheme in Edgeworthstown

Planning bosses are running the rule over a new 35 unit housing scheme in Edgeworthstown.

The development, lodged by developer John McCarthy, is a reduction from the 98 strong project which had been initially set out and recently granted permission at the same site at Bracklin Road, Edgeworthstown.

The new proposed development doesn’t appear to include any proposal for the 3 storey duplex units that were previously granted.

The development will consist of a mix of four two bedroom single storey bungalow dwellings, 20 three bedroom two storey house dwellings and 11 four bedroom two storey house dwellings, with access via the Bracklin Road from a new junction off the Bracklin Park Link Road.

The development also includes the provision of 70 car parking spaces.

The decision from Longford County Council is due by December 4 2023.
