Leading by just a solitary score (0-12 to 2-5) with five minutes of normal time remaining, Killoe finished the stronger to beat Ballymahon/Kenagh in a hard fought U-21 ‘A’ Football Championship semi-final played in difficult conditions at McGann Park on Sunday.

A point apiece from Shane Dooner, Gavin Farrelly and Paddy Moran clinched the win for Emmet Og who advance to meet Clonguish in the title decider on Sunday next.
With the chief marksman Moran (clocking up a total of 8 points) leading the charge at centre-half-forward, Killoe held a narrow 0-8 to 1-3 lead at the break with a well-taken goal from Keelin McGann keeping the amalgamation in contention.
When Josh Kelly scored a second goal for Ballymahon/Kenagh with four minutes gone in the second half, the pressure was on Killoe who fell behind soon after when Cormac McGann shot over the bar to leave the scoreline at 2-4 to 0-9.
Missing a number of players, most notably the injured Darren Moffett, Emmet Og regained the upper hand to outscore the opposition 0-6 to 0-1 during the remainder of the match.
