Reigning County Under 21 champions Clonguish cruised into the final of this year’s Championship with a comprehensive 16 point victory over understrength Dromard at Allen Park on Sunday.
Clonguish . . . 1-16 Dromard . . . 0-3
The loss of the injured Matt Duffy was a huge blow for the Dromard side with some other players currently on the casualty list and there was just no stopping the much superior Clonguish side.
The contest was as good as over by the 22nd minute with the dominant home side leading by 0-7 to 0-0 and it should have been much greater as they shot a total of seven wides in the first half with another three scoring attempts dropping short.
Clonguish will now face Killoe Emmet Og in the final next Sunday and just like their group match which Clonguish won by two points, it should be another keenly contested encounter at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park.
