Longford planning: Center Parcs plans for water tank approved

A storage tank to ensure water supply for Center Parcs in Ballymahon has been approved by Longford County Council planners.
Center Parcs Ireland Limited made the application for the construction of a pre-insulated storage tank adjacent to existing tanks in the technical services compound. The storage tanks will have a volume capacity of 500m3, a reinforced concrete base, retaining wall, and all associated services.

The approval of the development at Center Parcs, Longford Forest, Ballymahon, Longford was granted subject to three conditions.
The purpose of the additional storage tank is to ensure that adequate water supply is maintained within the holiday village for existing operational purposes.

Center Parcs say the proposed development will not impact the current extraction rates from the Irish Water network. The proposed storage tank will be connected to the existing tanks on site and there will be no increased demand from the network for the use of this tank.
