It's with sadness we record the death of Jim Kiernan of Aughagreagh, Ballinalee which occurred peacefully in the loving care of the staff at Autumn Lodge, St Joseph's Hospital, Longford, on Sunday, January 7, last.

Jim was a very popular gentleman who was known for his quick witty ways and he loved to have a chat and a joke and he will be sorely missed by his family, neighbours and friends.

Jim was predeceased by his parents, Larry and Mary and brother Jack.

Jim will be deeply missed by his brother Larry, sisters Peggy Fallon and Anne O' Reilly, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends, RIP.

Jim lay in repose at Shepherds Funeral Home, Athlone Road, Longford on Tuesday, January 9 followed by removal to St Joseph's Church, Purth.

Following Mass in St Joseph's Church Purth on Wednesday morning, he was laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.

May he rest in peace.
