Longford Town supporters have made the switch to digital ticketing in their droves ahead of the new season kicking off this weekend.

Thanks to a series of innovations developed by Longford Town's ticketing partner Future Ticketing, the transition to paperless tickets is easier than ever, improving the match day experience for fans and the club alike.

The visit of Finn Harps is an attractive League of Ireland season opener and the Midlands club expects bumper crowds for the 2024 campaign.

With the Digital Ticketing App, Longford Town fans have the club app on their own phones, giving them instant access to tickets, whether they are season tickets or one-off purchases.

All season tickets and match tickets are securely stored in each supporter's own private account, and can then be accessed on their phone (use Chrome for Android phones and Safari for iPhone) in the app.

Once the app is installed on the phone's home screen, the tickets are available virtually instantly and the fan is also just a couple of clicks away from their full order history, personal profile and much more.

Future Ticketing market development manager Ronan Burns said: "We are privileged to team up with Longford Town and wish them the best of luck against Finn Harps."

Burns added: "Longford Town is just one of many Future Ticketing partners in the League of Ireland and they have all seen the benefits of moving to digital ticketing.

"For clubs, it provides up to the minute information on advance sales, allows swifter access to revenue, is more efficient for stewards, allows contactless entry and is environmentally friendly, vastly reducing paper and plastic waste.

"For supporters, the app puts ticket purchasing in the palm of the hand and strengthens the bond with their favourite team."
