Longford Ploughing Championships launch night is on Thursday, March 7 in Creegan’s Bunlahy at 8.30pm.

Plans to recreate the fantastic atmosphere of Longford's largest outdoor Springtime Festival are well advanced and details will be revealed in Creegan’s.

Thanks to Niall and Paul Belton for hosting this year’s event at their farm on Sunday, March 24.

The county ploughing championships returns to Bunlahy after 65 years.

We welcome all sponsors, exhibitors and friends to Creegan’s on Thursday, March 7 to meet the team behind the biggest outdoor Springtime Ploughing Festival in Ireland.

Join us for a chat, some photos, refreshments and raise a toast for some sunshine on March 24.

The full menu for an exciting Sunday afternoon of top class competition ploughing, music and family entertainment is being unveiled.

The big exhibition returns, outdoor dance floor, dancing competitions and  lots of family fun activities.

We will also reveal details of The Queen of the Plough  Dance which is in Creegan’s after Easter.
