There was a very large turnout this morning by the public to assist the Garda and Longford Civil Defence in their ongoing effort to find missing local man Peter Oliver Bohan.
Over 100 civilians joined the search that starting at John P Mannings yard in Drumlish
Volunteers assembled from 9:00am with a briefing by local Gardaí and Longford Civil Defence before the groups set off at 9:30am.
The family of Peter Oliver Bohan addressed the assembled gathering, thanking them for their help at this difficult time. Parties searched along the road and in fields adjacent to the family home.
The search concluded at 12:30pm to facilitate a search of the area by Garda canine units.
