Longford film company Harp Media is set to represent the Local Enterprise Office (LEO), Longford at the National Enterprise Awards Final. The awards take place in the Mansion House in Dublin on Thursday, May 23.
Harp Media specialises in short and feature-length films, factual TV programming, corporate videos, and filmmaking training.
Notable successes include ‘Lakelands’, their debut feature film which gained worldwide acclaim and recognition. It was shown across the UK, Europe, the USA, and Australia. It gained four Irish Film and Television Academy (IFTA) award nominations.
Now in its 24th year, the National Enterprise Awards are a LEO initiative and celebrate the best of small businesses in Ireland, with 31 businesses from every country shortlisted for the awards. LEO Longford have had previous success at the National Enterprise Awards with recycling company, Cirtex Ltd winning the National Enterprise Green Sustainability Award in 2022.

Finalists compete for a prize fund of €50,000. Along with an overall National Enterprise of the Year winner, there are categories for Best Start-Up, Best Export Business, an Innovation Award, a One-to-Watch Award, and a Sustainability Award. There is also an Outstanding Achievement award for a business that started with LEO and who have gone on to achieve international growth with the assistance of Enterprise Ireland.
Harp Media’s Robert Higgins said, “We are delighted to be representing Longford in the National Finals of the Enterprise Awards. We’ve had tremendous support from bodies such as LEO Longford as well as many local people since we started so we are very honoured to be selected for the finals. All our work thus far has been set in Longford and we look forward to building on that going forward.”
